Check the whole tariff before switching energy supplier

Compare electricity, Economy 7 and the gas tariff for your network area using the Consumer Council's tables.

A lower advertised unit price is only part of an energy comparison. The Consumer Council's Northern Ireland tables let households compare electricity, Economy 7 and gas tariffs, including differences in supplier, tariff and billing method.

Gas comparisons are separated into Greater Belfast, the Ten Towns network and Gas to the West. Choose the table for your own network area before comparing options.

The council says its tables are correct on the day of comparison. Announced price changes are added when the increase or reduction takes effect. An announcement about a future tariff and the price currently charged can therefore refer to different dates.

Use the date on the table and the terms for your payment method when checking an offer. This guide does not name a universally cheapest tariff or promise a saving for every household.
