Find the planning documents behind a proposal near you
Search the official register without creating an account; Mid Ulster uses a separate system.
Northern Ireland's planning register lets the public search new applications, decisions and historical records by reference, address or map. You do not need an account simply to search and read available documents.
An account is required to track an application's progress by email or to submit a comment. Comments, names and postal addresses can be published as part of the planning process, so read the portal's information before posting.
The central system covers the Department for Infrastructure and ten councils. Mid Ulster District Council operates a separate portal. Not every official register record is available online, and older applications can have limited documents.
This guide links to the official search routes. It does not claim that NI Unlocked has a complete live feed of applications within a postcode radius.
