£875,000 Hillhead Road scheme starts in Ballyclare

Weekday lane restrictions run through 23 December, with a full closure phase planned from January to March.

A £875,000 carriageway and footway resurfacing scheme has started on a 1.38km stretch of the B94 Hillhead Road, from Mill Road to just north of Hillhead Mews.

Phase one brings a 9.30am–4.30pm lane closure for traffic leaving Ballyclare between Mill Road and Templepatrick Road on weekdays through 23 December, with a signed diversion via Mill Road and Templepatrick Road. A full weekday closure on the wider section is planned from 11 January to 12 March 2027. Local access, Translink buses and school services are to be accommodated, but drivers should expect delays.
