Two charged after reported Limavady burglary and assault
PSNI’s 2 November update concerns an incident reported at Gorteen Crescent on Sunday morning; no court outcome is confirmed.
Two people have been charged following a reported burglary and assault at a house in Limavady, according to a PSNI statement published on Monday 2 November.
Police say they received a report at about 8.45am on Sunday 1 November that a man and woman had entered a Gorteen Crescent house and assaulted two occupants.
The statement says a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s had been charged and were due before Limavady Magistrates’ Court on 2 November. It does not confirm that either appeared, give a hearing outcome or specify the final charges separately from the offences for which they were arrested.
An 18-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm was released on bail while enquiries continued, police said.
Charges do not establish guilt. PSNI says the Public Prosecution Service will review them; no subsequent court decision has been verified.
