Road safety demonstrations planned for Guildhall Square

RoadSafe Saturday is scheduled for 7 November, from 11am to 3pm, with emergency-service demonstrations.

Guildhall Square is due to host RoadSafe Saturday on 7 November, between 11am and 3pm, according to a council notice published on 30 October.

The North West Road Safety Partnership and the charity Life After are organising the event. Planned activities include staged collision scenarios and demonstrations of emergency rescue work.

The programme is intended for people who travel by car, bicycle or on foot. Life After, whose members include people bereaved through road collisions, is involved in explaining the consequences for families.

The reviewed notice does not specify admission charges or booking requirements. Check the council’s latest event information before making a journey. These are planned educational demonstrations, rather than reports of a real incident at the square.
