Gortin play park completed; official opening held on 16 October

A council update published on 30 October confirms the new facility is part of a district programme improving ten outdoor community spaces.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has confirmed completion of the new Gortin play park in an update published on 30 October.

The opening ceremony took place on Friday 16 October, with local pupils and council and partnership representatives attending. The facility was therefore not newly opened on 1 November.

The work forms part of a programme to improve ten outdoor community spaces under the district’s PEACEPLUS local action plan. The council describes the park as an inclusive place for children and families to use.

The reviewed announcement does not provide an equipment list, access audit or opening hours. Those practical details should be checked with the council before planning a visit; this report does not independently assess accessibility or the condition of the site.
