Portadown weekly market to move to Magowan West from 6 November

The council plans Friday and Saturday trading from 7am to 3pm at the new town-centre location.

Portadown Weekly Market is due to relocate to Magowan West Car Park on Friday 6 November, Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council has announced.

Its 2 November notice sets out a permanent move, with the market operating every Friday and Saturday between 7am and 3pm. These are planned arrangements; the first market at the new site has not yet taken place.

Regular stallholders, including two fruit-and-vegetable retailers, are expected initially. The council is seeking more traders but gives no stall capacity or fees.

Shoppers should use Magowan West Car Park from 6 November. No parking concessions or stall discounts are announced.

Prospective traders can use the council’s markets information service or central telephone number, 0300 0300 900, to seek current application details.
