Belsize Road works: off-peak restrictions in Lisburn plan

The £757,000 scheme covers the stretch between Kirkwood’s Road and Boomers Road, with later road closures also planned.

A £757,000 improvement programme on Belsize Road was scheduled to begin on 19 October, according to a Department for Infrastructure announcement published on 13 October.

The stated work area runs between Kirkwood’s Road and Boomers Road. The programme includes the road surface, kerbs and footways.

DfI’s plan uses lane restrictions between 9.30am and 4.30pm daily. It also anticipates road closures near the end of the programme, but this announcement does not give those closure dates.

The department’s substantial-completion target is 17 March 2027, subject to suitable weather. Drivers should allow extra journey time and check current signs and TrafficWatchNI before using the area. This guide does not confirm that every planned restriction is operating today.
