Old Warrenpoint Road one-way plan runs to 8 November

DfI’s published timetable keeps northbound access towards Greenbank Roundabout, with southbound traffic directed through Forest Hills.

The Department for Infrastructure’s published plan provides for a continuous one-way system on Old Warrenpoint Road until 6pm on Sunday 8 November. This is a guide to that timetable, rather than a newly announced closure.

Northbound vehicles can use Old Warrenpoint Road from the Greenan Road junction towards Greenbank Roundabout. Southbound drivers are directed along the A2 Warrenpoint dual carriageway, returning to Old Warrenpoint Road at Forest Hills.

The resurfacing covers the section between Chapel Hill Road and the Greenan Road junction. DfI’s 8 October update scheduled surfacing from 12 October and warned that journeys nearby could take longer.

The completion target depends on suitable weather. Check the latest TrafficWatchNI information and roadside signs before travelling; this report does not independently establish today’s on-site conditions.
