Eoin Kenny and Dermot Mee receive first senior Northern Ireland call-ups

Michael O’Neill names a 25-player squad for Ukraine in Belfast on 14 November and Hungary away on 17 November.

Portsmouth striker Eoin Kenny and Manchester United goalkeeper Dermot Mee have received their first senior Northern Ireland call-ups, the Irish FA announced on 3 November.

Kenny, 20, was born in Derry and has captained the under-21 side. Mee, 23, has represented Northern Ireland at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level.

Michael O’Neill’s 25-player squad will face Ukraine at Windsor Park on Saturday 14 November and Hungary in Budapest on Tuesday 17 November. Selection does not guarantee either newcomer an appearance.

Northern Ireland lead Nations League Group B2 with eight points from four matches, one ahead of Hungary. They have kept four clean sheets.

Daniel Ballard, Eoin Toal and Jamie McDonnell are injured; Bailey Peacock-Farrell and Dion Charles move to standby. Alistair McCann remains unavailable through injury.

The association says Ukraine-match tickets are sold out, with a waiting list if tickets become available. A waiting-list place does not guarantee admission.
