Resurfacing planned for Limavady, Dungiven, Waterfoot and Ballymoney
DfI’s council update lists 2026/27 schemes and a proposed shared-use path on Foreglen Road.
The Department for Infrastructure has outlined planned resurfacing across Causeway Coast and Glens in an update published on Tuesday 3 November.
Its 2026/27 programme names Seacoast Road and Greystone Road in Limavady, Legavallon Road in Dungiven, Garron Road in Waterfoot and Kirk Road in Ballymoney. DfI also says it is advancing shared-use paths on Foreglen Road, Dungiven.
These are plans, rather than confirmation that each scheme has started. The announcement gives no individual start dates, completion targets, costs or traffic-management arrangements for those projects.
DfI separately reports that earlier resurfacing on Glenshane Road, Dunhill Road, Frosses Road and Drones Road has been completed, along with shared walking and cycling routes on the A2 between Ballykelly and Greysteel and on Atlantic Road, Coleraine.
Residents should await scheme-specific notices before treating a closure or diversion as confirmed. DfI says local transport plans are being developed alongside councils’ development plans.
